How to use DWG to PDF
- Get a DXF. In AutoCAD or BricsCAD use Save As → DXF. For .dwg files without CAD, use the free Autodesk DWG TrueView or ODA File Converter to save a DXF.
- Add the DXF. Drag it into the box above and choose the page size.
- Convert and download. Press Convert to PDF. The PDF stays vector, so you can zoom in on any detail.
What about .dwg files?
DWG is Autodesk's closed format and can't be read reliably in a browser. Two free options:
- Autodesk DWG TrueView (Windows, free): open the DWG, then Plot → DWG To PDF.pc3 for a PDF, or DWG Convert to save a DXF.
- ODA File Converter (Windows, Mac, Linux, free): batch-converts DWG to DXF. Then convert the DXF here.
What's supported
Lines, polylines (with arcs), circles, arcs, ellipses, splines, solids, text and multiline text, block references (including dimensions) and layer colours. Layers that are switched off or frozen are left out, just like a plot.
Private by design
Your files are processed entirely inside your browser on your own device. Nothing is uploaded to PDFWisely, so there's nothing for us to store, read or delete. You can even disconnect from the internet after this page loads.
Frequently asked questions
Is DWG to PDF free?
Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and no limits.
Can I upload a .dwg file?
Not directly. Save it as DXF first in your CAD app, DWG TrueView or ODA File Converter (all free), then convert the DXF here.
Is the PDF vector or an image?
Vector. Lines stay sharp at any zoom, and the file stays small.
Is my drawing uploaded?
No. Conversion happens in your browser.
