Privacy Policy

Effective 3 November 2026.

Your files

All of our live tools, including PDF to Word, Compress PDF, Sign PDF and Protect PDF, process files entirely in your web browser. Your files are not uploaded to our servers, and we cannot see, store or share them. If we ever add a tool that needs to process files on a server, its page will say so clearly before you use it, and this policy will explain how those files are handled and when they are deleted.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time of the request. This is used to keep the site running and secure.

Cookies and analytics

See our Cookie Policy. We will update both policies before introducing analytics or advertising.

Third-party services

Our tools use open-source libraries (pdf-lib, PDF.js, JSZip, docx and PptxGenJS) that are hosted on our own website, so loading a tool doesn't share your information with a third-party content network.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR and US state laws such as the CCPA, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email contact@pdfwisely.com. In the UK you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

PDFWisely is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date above.
