Which browsers can read HEIC?
HEIC (High Efficiency Image) is the format iPhones use to save photos. Safari on iPhone, iPad and Mac can read HEIC directly, so this tool works there. Most other browsers, including Chrome and Edge on Windows, can't decode HEIC yet. If a photo is marked ⚠:
- Open this page in Safari on your iPhone, iPad or Mac, or
- Change your camera to save JPG: Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible, then use JPG to PDF.
- On iPhone, choosing photos from the picture picker often converts them to JPG automatically, which also works.
Keep the PDF small
iPhone photos are often 3–5 MB each. For email or upload portals, tick Make the PDF smaller, or run the PDF through Compress PDF.
Private by design
Your photos are converted inside your browser and never leave your device.
